Some of the tiny surf paintings we did on postcards for our #GoingPostal2014 subscribers while we were in Hawaii this past June.
Various marine life based mandalic paintings we made between 2009 and 20011.
The Aussie Animal mural in Silverlake. Actor Ben Mendelsohn and novelist Emma Forrest commissioned us to paint a wall in their baby daughter’s bedroom in Los Angeles. As Ben hails from Australia we all decided to focus the mural on Aussie animals so their daughter could learn about the unique Aussie wildlife as she grew up. Kozy and I decided to make a space in the middle of the mural for her to draw on, and thus painted it with chalkboard paint. It was lovely to spend some time coming to their happy home and to make an artwork for one of the SWEETEST children we have ever met. A very nice experience all around!
One of Kozy’s favorite paintings, “Nudibranchland” is an absurdist play on words visually translated into tiny nudists cavorting amongst life sized nudibranches (sea slugs, AKA “nudis” amongst scuba divers and marine biologists).
We have finally released this painting as a very very limited edition archival giclée print on Somerset Watercolor paper with hand deckled edges. Each print is signed and numbered. 28 x 20 inches.
